Leaving Your Mark of Kindness & Influence

Let's be honest, pretty much everyone loves a catered work lunch & Chick-fil-A Restaurants did not disappoint during my recent leadership workshop. I have a rule: when food arrives, we automatically pause to eat — because we all know everyone wants to chow down rather than listen to me when the enticing aroma starts to fill the air!

As the meal was being set up, I met Cam, a Chick-fil-A employee, whose name tag read "Team Lead." I mentioned, "I know Chick-fil-A offers leadership training" to which he enthusiastically replied, "Yes, we do! It's not just about the chicken. Our job is to spread kindness."

This brief interaction was a pointed reminder that our work is more than just a job. It's about using our roles to make a positive impact on others. It's more than chicken & special sauce, it's making an effort to leave your personal mark of kindness & influence on those around you.
